At the small yet soul-filled HALIOS instrument workshop, in the heart of Mytilene, music takes shape and form. Since 1985, luthier Kostas Halios has been crafting handmade string instruments with love, respect, and dedication to tradition.
Every bouzouki, tzouras or baglamas that leaves the Koumidia workshop is unique – the result of experience, experimentation and deep artistic sensitivity.

Kostas Halios began his journey in luthiery in the 1980s, driven purely by his love for sound. His first encounter came when, as a student, he decided to “tinker with” his very first bouzouki — and from that moment on, he never stopped. Through studies and experimentation alongside luthiers in Athens, he perfected his craft.
Today, he continues with the same dedication to create instruments that stand out for their quality, sound and warmth, instruments that “speak” to the soul of every musician.

Passion is the driving force behind every creation; perfection in sound and ease of playability are the goals of every instrument.
